How can I describe myself when so many others have tried and failed. Well a couple did. OK, nobody has really tried to describe me, mostly they just roll their eyes and shake their heads. I'm not really sure what that means, but I'm taking it as a sign of respect.

My life so far. I was born. I spent most of my life breathing, some of it sleeping, and the odd meal and potty breaks thrown in for good measure.

How to describe oneself. I always feel like I'm under pressure when asked to give this kind of summation. I'm a language nerd and graphic design wannabe who likes foreign films and baking. I love things French and Italian. I tend to be contemplative and/or sentimental. There are days when I perceive the beauty that is all around me/us and it fills me with joy. Other times I let insignificant details get the better of me and I retreat. Life can be quite a balancing act sometimes.

I like to spend an equal amount of time at home as I do out. I do enjoy going out for dinner. I also like to do some fishing. I like playing poker. I read a lot. UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE!!!: Pay attention to my pictures, I am by no means a "skinny" girl. Not that I am 300lbs either, however, I am aware of my weight and am on a diet working toward getting smaller. My goal is to make my top half smaller while building muscle and slightly increasing my bottom half (Getting a nice round ass with nice hips and losing the majority of the boobage because I hate them and want a bigger butt? o_O). I have no intention of looking like a model, I like my curves for the most part I am just aiming for them to be slightly smaller. When I drink, I get really feminine...more so than usual. I get more flirty, and I talk more. The inhibitions melt away and I am free to be me. I smile more, giggle more, and laugh a lot. I am just more easily amused than I am sober. I am just more pleasant to be around in general.

I am also quite intuitive and sensitive to people's feelings I use that knowledge to adapt my behavior to compliment those feelings. This thing has been out of date for so long... it's high time for an update.

I refuse to summarize myself in one paragraph. If you want to know more about me, read below.

Also: Due to my sudden interest in making myself seem more "appealing" (NOT APPALLING) I'm going to be editing these essays one at a time at a rate of one per day. Maybe I'll finally put some depth into this thing, who knows.

I am the type of person that finds it hard to put a summary in writing. I think the best way to get to know someone is not by reading what they have in the little boxes provided but by actual interaction with them.

I am a very open and honest person and just looking for someone to share my world with.

I just moved to Kansas City from the Dallas area in January 2010 due to a job transfer. Although I hated leaving Texas, I am excited about making new friends here and settling down KC. I'm originally from a small town in South Central Iowa and went to college in northwest Missouri, so it will be nice to be closer to family and long-time friends after almost 20 years of living in different parts of the country.

As much as I do enjoy traveling, I also like to kick back at home and watch old movies on TV. When I'm in a musically creative mood, I'll play a little guitar. (Well, actually, it's a normal sized guitar...)

Im Mikey. I'm kind of a recluse, but im not socially inept... I can hold a conversation, I always try to say something funny. When I make someone laugh it makes me feel good. As far as hobbies lets see... I love playing piano and the keyboard. I compose my own electronic/techno music as well as helping various friends with their own musical projects, from classic rock revival stuff to agro industrial metal. I just graduated from Purdue in May. But that was only the start of a whirlwind couple of months. First there was the graduation ceremony, then I was a groomsman in my roommate's wedding, then I went to Europe for a month, followed by an immediate move from Indy to Kansas City where I started my new job. Sports are pretty huge in my life. I used to play football in college but I dropped out so I could focus on my studies. I'm good for a pick up game every so often. After that, a nice cold beer or two would be awesome.

I don't find the world all that appealing. Kind of boring. The world inside my head is much more interesting so I usually stay there. I'm a very strong individualist who loves to over analyze .. I look at things from every possible angle. Being alone and just thinking or being creative in some way energizes me while social interaction drains me. I do not readily grasp the social rituals ... Perhaps the most fundamental problem, however, is that I really want people to make sense. I have a decent intellect and insightful to those I care to interact with although I usually just keep to myself. My emotions are very hard to read as I have a hard time expressing them (except laughter.. I laugh at..everything). I don't really recognize authority based on tradition, rank, or title so I guess you could say I sorta have a bit of disregard for authority, but I still keep my job and stay out of jail just fine.. I'm acutely aware of my own abilitiesâ??as well as my limitations and what I don't know. I'm often criticized as a pessimist, but honestly I think I just see the reality of the situation .. and then find solutions to what ever I was being negative about..
I'm pretty critical of others and have higher then average (but still much less then perfect) standards for long term relationships. I have low standards if you just want to hang out, get drunk, screw, or cuddle while watching a movie(my fav). I'm blunt by nature and typically don't sugar coat. Don't ask me questions unless you want an honest upfront answer. Tact? White lies? what..are those?

I am in my summer of my life and wondering if this all that life will and can be. I have traveled to many places: foreign and here at home. My younger years were spent with many different causes both personal and social. Several years ago I was introduced to a journey that lead to channeling my inner energy and being through Yoga and Tantra. I am now taking my studies more serious. My education began with practicing visualization, Yogic postures, breathing Techniques, sensual massage and more. Practicing the healing touch of Tantra Massage is very important to me. One must condition their body to receive pleasure before we can give pleasure.

Let's see,.. I am back in College and, in many ways I never really left the first time. I spent the better part of the last decade trying not to grow up and I am proud to say I have been successful. I look much younger than I am and I suppose I act younger also. Seriously, people who got married and have mortgages and kids,..I can't really get with all of that. It's fine for those who are into it, but it probably won't be my thing for a looong time. My career path would be completely unrealistic if I were thinking about a white picket fence and 'back-to-school night'. Now that I've got all of my partying out of the way I find myself strangely at a loss for how to meet quality people who aren't already in my circle of close friends. I'm not looking for the person I'm going to spend my life with, just a solid person to hang out with and share time when my schedule allows. I'm also an Indigo child (one of the first). If you know what that is, it's completely real,.seriously! Hmm,..I have a weird haircut because I think it is unique and original. I wear jeans and 'thrift store' type of t-shirts (more accurately, t-shirts I have collected from various roommates over the last 10 years) most of the time. I have no ass so because I'm Irish, so my pants are constantly sagging. Oh,.every time I get on here I change something about my profile to better inform you people about how awesome I am. = )

I'm strange but I suppose that could be said of anyone. In groups I become the opposite of everyone else so as to even things out. I grew up in the country and I like that. I'm not a hick but I'm not a cityboy either. I prefer jeans and a t-shirt. I don't really care what "people" think. What matters is what people close to me think. I tell it like I see it. I'm loyal to a fault and expect loyalty in return.

Well, I am 19. I really messed up my first semester of JuCo. So I've postponed it until January.

When I do continue/finish school, I decided I want to be a grade school teacher, then eventually a high school math teacher, then possibly a community college professor.

I do want a family someday. Now isn't the best time, but I deal with life as it is dealt to me. Abortion is a no-no, unless there are extenuating circumstances. Family is very important to me, and I have a pretty big family. We have our issues but in the end I love most of them, some of the time.

I am a very physically active 64 y/o man that loves to laugh, play and enjoy life. Spent 26 years in the Army, retired. Went back to work for the Army for another 10 years as an executive. Got bored and changed to a management position with a graduate university here in Kansas City. I have been divorced for over 9 years, have one grown daughter 26 years old. She lives in California and is very independent. I enjoy music of all eras. Love to dance but havent had much practice in the last few years. College graduate with a degree in Business. Born and raised in Kansas and besides my time in the Army have lived here most of my life. Not a drinker nor do I smoke, however I dont object to others doing both.
